The New California System includes seven planets, including the system's namesake Adamist terracompatible planet and the Edenist habitats orbiting Yosemite gas giant. The system’s primary is Visalia, a G5 star.

As of 2611, some New California politicians are campaigning to strengthen the system’s General Assembly into a system-wide (Adamist) administration or even union. Opinion against it is strong among asteroid dwellers and leaders, namely in Idria. (tNA:9)
